Dining Alfresco

Spring is here and weather is warming up! Spring weather brings more gatherings, dinner parties, outdoor time…enjoying beautiful weather and flowers! Which means more dining alfresco! Alfresco means taking place or located in the open air. Being outdoors and enjoying the fresh air, the sun and our surroundings…just what I’m looking for right now!

Butterflies + Lavender

Alfresco Tablescape

A luncheon on the patio! With sunny days ahead, my inspiration began with images of beautiful fluttering butterflies & vibrant lavender. Then, adding my favorite color combination that’s always classic for styling a dining table: Black + White!

Layers of black & white, butterflies, accents of lavender and preserved boxwood brings sophisticated elegance to this tablescape on our patio table by the pool.

Using my Sol y Sombra Charger Plates, Dinner Plates & Soup Bowls with black and white stripes, trimmed with metallic gold + platinum. Love the dual metallic gold + platinum trim on these plates that allows me to mix both elements for the tablescape. Butterfly Parade

This colorful collection adds happiness to the Alfresco Tablescape!

Detailed, colorful butterflies on the Butterfly Parade dessert plates and the salad serving bowl pair well with the Sol y Sombra black and white collection and also have the metallic gold + platinum dual trim. The dessert plates add a colorful focal point to the place setting!

Vases

Colorful Florals in Unique Vessel and Crystal Vase

I anchored each side of the oblong patio dining table with florals in different containers. One was the Largo Bias Crystal Vase and the other was the Medium White Swan.

It’s the time of year for our hydrangeas to bloom! Love having these in our yard to cut blooms all summer long to bring inside to enjoy! I added hydrangea blooms into Unicorn Baby’s Breath that I found that was dyed in various pastel colors. It added to the spring colors and worked well with the variety of purples, blues and pink hydrangeas.

The White Swan Brings a Whimsy & Unexpected Element to the Table

The Medium White Swan is perfect to use as a vessel for flowers and adds whimsy character to the table.

The Goblets

Bicos Alfazema Lavender Goblets

Lavender glassware pops color on the table with the Bicos Alfazema Pitcher and Bicos Alfazema Water Goblets. Filled them with sparkling water, springs of lavender, lemon slices, a skewer of blueberries and a black and white striped straw.

The Candlesticks

Crystal Candlesticks Sparkle on the Table

Adding crystal candlesticks to the table brings elegance and charm. The Medusa candlestick tealights are perfect for any setting. I added one on each side the oblong table.

Also, in the center on each side is the silver footed Diamanti crystal diamond-shape candlestick. They add so much glamour to the table and love the black and white stripe taper candles that ties back to the layers of the black and white.

Other Details

Other small accents on the table include the lavender butterflies with gold trim, purple velour ribbon tied around the silverware and white napkin bundles, blueberry picks in the water goblets along with sprigs of lavender, lemon slices and black & white striped straws, black and white bird motif placemats as a layering piece, black & white stripe taper candles, boxwood spheres with lavender butterfly additions and boxwood garland crossing down the center of the table to bring a contrast of green to the table.
